EXPLAINABLE PRICING

The right price for every night, and why

Sentinel AI proposes a rate for every date with its full explanation: demand, booking pace, events and competition. Every recommendation starts pending, you approve it with one click and, if you want, you turn on auto-apply within your limits.

What an explainable price recommendation is

A traditional RMS hands you a number and asks for trust: the algorithm decided and there is nothing to discuss. The problem shows up when ownership asks why that rate was charged and nobody can answer, or when the system proposes something that contradicts what you know about your market and you have no way to verify who is right.

Sentinel AI does the opposite. Every day it calculates a suggested rate for each future date and attaches its causes in plain language: your occupancy, your booking pace (how fast the date is filling compared with your own history), the lead time of incoming demand, the events in your region and your competitors’ prices. The recommendation starts pending: nothing is published until you decide.

From an explained number to a published rate

Every recommendation, argued, approved and traced inside R2 OS.

THE WHY

Every price arrives with its causes

Next to each suggested rate you see the signals that produced it: occupancy, booking pace, lead time, events and your position against the competition. It is written in the language of a hotelier, not a data scientist, so you understand the decision before you make it.

  • The causes behind each price, in plain words
  • You understand the recommendation before approving it
YOUR DEMAND

Born from your own booking curve

The recommendation does not come from an opaque market index: it is calculated from your confirmed reservations and how fast each date is filling against your own history. A night running behind calls for a different price than one that is flying, and the explanation tells you which is which.

  • Your occupancy and your real pace as the base
  • Every claim is verifiable against your reservations
COMPETITION

Competition as context, not as command

The prices of your competitive set (the hotels and rentals you compete against on Booking and Airbnb) enter as one more signal, and the explanation tells you when they mattered and in which direction. You react to the market with judgment, instead of chasing the cheapest rival and giving away margin.

  • Your competitors’ rates, date by date
  • One signal among several, never the only one
ONE CLICK

From pending to published, you decide

Every recommendation starts pending your approval. You review the list of the day, adjust any you want and approve with one click, one by one or in bulk. When the flow earns your confidence, you turn on auto-apply and the system publishes for you, always within your price limits.

  • Approve, adjust or reject, one by one or in bulk
  • Optional auto-apply within your floor and your ceiling
TRACEABILITY

A full history of every decision

What was recommended, with which arguments, who approved it and what was published: everything is recorded. When ownership asks why that rate was charged on March 15, the answer is one click away, with the signals of that day in plain view.

  • Recommendation, approval and publication, traced
  • Answers backed by data for ownership or an audit
CONVERSATION

Question whatever does not convince you

If a recommendation looks too high or too low, ask in natural language: why Saturday goes up, which event is pushing it, how similar dates behaved. The answer is calculated on your real numbers and shows you where every figure comes from.

  • Questions in your language, answers from your data
  • If a number does not exist, it says so, it does not invent
THE SENTINEL DIFFERENCE

Other systems hand you a number and ask for faith. Sentinel AI gives you the number, its causes and the final word.

The speed of an algorithm with the judgment of a human, giving up neither.

Frequently asked questions

Does the system change my prices on its own?
No, unless you turn that on. Every recommendation starts pending your approval and nothing is published without your click. If you enable auto-apply, every applied rate respects the floor and ceiling you defined.
What exactly does each recommendation explain?
The signals that produced it: your occupancy, your booking pace, the lead time of incoming demand, the events in your region and your competitors’ prices. All in plain language and calculated from your own data, not from an opaque index.
How is it different from a black-box RMS?
The black box hands you the number and asks for trust; you cannot read its causes or defend the price to ownership. Here every rate arrives with its arguments and the option to correct it, because trust is earned with evidence.
What happens if I reject a recommendation?
It is not applied and your rate stays as it was. The rejection is recorded with its context, and that history is the best raw material to spot where the system and your reality diverge and refine your strategy.
Can I automate everything?
Yes. You turn on auto-apply and the system publishes rates for you, always within your price limits. The usual path is to start approving by hand and automate once the recommendations earn your confidence; you can switch back to manual whenever you want.
Do I need a revenue manager to use it?
No. The explanations are written so any hotelier can decide with context, and reading them daily trains the judgment of your team. If you already have a revenue team, the why behind each price gives them arguments and control, it does not take the wheel away.
